All Hosted VoIP Features
Call Flows
A call flow is a simple way to create “journeys” for your call to go on.
For example, when a call comes in, you can choose to make a certain user’s phone ring.
Call Statistics
Our call statistics are available on an account, group, and user basis.
You can view:
- Total call duration
- Average call length
- Missed calls
- Inbound call duration
- Average time to answer
- Not answered calls
- Outbound call duration
- Call trends by time of day
- Call trends by month
- Call success trend
Voicemail With Recording
All voicemail is recorded and available from our control panel. You can also receive email notifications whenever you get a voicemail.
Call Diversions
Divert a call (make it dial a new number) anywhere you wish.
Audio Library and Hold Music
We have a collection of royalty-free hold music for you to use in your system. You can also upload your own audio to use in your system.
Conference Rooms
Setup a conference room where multiple callers can dial in and talk to one another.
Distinctive Ringing
Distinctive ringing can help you audibly distinguish different types of calls, for example, internal calls, or calls routed to specific callflows. They can act as a means to draw attention without the need to refer to the screen.
Follow Me
The Follow Me function allows you to tell the system what users, devices, groups and external numbers you would like to ring when a call comes in for a particular user. This can be particularly helpful if you are on the move, and would like your mobile to ring as well as your desk phone, or perhaps a user is on annual leave, so to direct calls to a group as opposed to a voicemail.
IVR Menu
When someone calls you, you can have them go through a call menu (press 1 for sales, press 2 for accounts, etc).
Opening Hours/Holidays
Leave your customers with a customised message on public holidays, or in your closing hours. Callers will be able to leave a message after ringing.
Text To Speech
Text-to-speech can assist with the rapid deployment of messages. With 13 global accents in both male and female voices, you can customise your messages quickly and professionally.
Call Monitoring
Help train your employees with secure call monitoring (listen in on active calls).
Call Parking
Call parking/retrieval and valet parking.
DID/DOD
DID allows a caller to ring groups/users directly via a specific number rather than having to call a receptionist/IVR.
A DOD is a number assigned to a SIP user which displays on an outbound call to the callee. You can set this up to be any number associated with your VoIP account.
Feature Codes
These dial codes provide user control over facilities such as hot desking, forwarding, parking, recording and more.
Speech-To-Text Transcriptions
We support the use of Google Speech-to-Text when viewing call recordings so that you can see transcripts of your calls.
TLS/SRTP and TLS/SRTP + ZRTP
We support full encryption of VoIP calls. Encryption makes it much harder for hackers to break into your VoIP system and make fraudlent calls. It also makes it far more difficult for them to listen to calls.
Fraud Protection
We can send proactive alerts if spending reaches certain levels, as well as intelligent warnings if traffic is out of the ordinary. Alerts can be issued via email and SMS.

Setup voice menus, opening hours, royality-free hold music, and so much more. With hosted VoIP, callers will immediately be impressed by the professionalism of your business.
Device Provisioning
Our device provisioning is industry-leading. it saves you countless hours individually setting up VoIP phones on your network, and allows you to deploy new devices to your existing infrastructure with ease.
Device Management
For devices set up using our auto-provisioning, we provide industry-leading levels of control over the device.
These include:
- Key assignment (including colour-coded diagrams to aid understanding per device)
- Reboot and re-provisioning controls
- Logs showing provisioning and registration attempts and outcomes
- Settings controls for port, protocols, passwords, encryption, and codecs
- Firmware push functionality
We support instant provisioning for over 100 desk phone models across six different popular manufacturers, and two softphone vendors. We take away the hassles of setting up new phones or the adoption of new infrastructure onto our platform. Within minutes, you can have a phone listed on our systems and connected with a tried and tested configuration.
Devices that do not support auto-provisioning can still be added manually to our platform.
We Recommend Zoiper
A softphone is an application for PC, Mac, Linux, or smartphones, which enables VoIP calls without the need of a desktop IP phone. When you are working from home or from around the globe, a softphone makes accessing your Ballscoigne hosted VoIP extremely easy.
Zoiper is a powerful softphone application designed to give you powerful functionality and excellent performance. It is available across Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS.
John Bowe’s Call Centre
The Situation
We reached out to John Bowe after he expressed that he was planning on setting up a call centre helpline for his new charity organisation.
He needed a way to have multiple phone operators located all around the UK to be part of one call centre without them having to relocate from their homes.
He needed a way for operators to transfer calls to other free operators as efficiently as possible.
The Solution
After creating the VoIP account and users, we set up John’s helpline for him.
With our solution, we support a range of deskphones and softphones for automatic provisioning, but in this case, we helped the users get set up manually. Each user (the operators) have their own permission-based control panel login. They don’t have permission to make major changes, but they can see their VoIP device registration details and can even automatically provision their softphones (in this case) by scanning a QR code.
Easy-To-Use
We know that most small businesses are not tech companies, which is why we designed our hosted VoIP platform to be as simple as possible, without sacrificing on features or fine control.
We also know that some SMB owners need an expert’s help – we can set up your phone system remotely, even having the phones shipped directly to your business.
Fast Fixes
Our VoIP platform is built off a robust system capable of handling many connections simultaneously – all this means we can diagnose and fix faults remotely without needing to send an engineer out.
Testimonials
“I have a couple of offices and both need to communicate with each other and make calls. Ballscoigne’s hosted VoIP gives me a great phone system that’s easy to use and I can have my work calls sent to my mobile if I’m out.”
Frequently Asked Questions
Voice solutions can be complicated.
What is hosted VoIP?
Hosted VoIP is a cloud-based phone system, meaning you get all the features of an expensive telephone system at a fraction of the price. It’s how you can get hold music, opening hours, and more, without having to pay £1000+ for extra hardware.
Do I need special equipment?
To use hosted VoIP, you will need a VoIP telephone, such as a Grandstream GXP1610 IP Phone. VoIP phones must be connected to the internet, so you will need an Internet connection, and you may need an Ethernet cable to connect the VoIP phone to the Internet. The vast majority of VoIP phones should have no trouble connecting, but if you’d like some advice, send us an email.
What is a SIP user?
Think of a SIP user as a set of login credentials that you need to make and receive telephone calls using an IP phone.
What is the contract length for hosted VoIP?
There is a minimum term of 1 month.
How do I place an order?
Before ordering, please send us an enquiry. We need to get to know your business before offering services.
